Full Description

NB32NW 9 centred on 305 254

What may be thirteen roofed shieling-huts are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Island of Lewis 1852, sheet 32). Twelve unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 29 July 1997

Numerous sheiling type structures of varing construction. Many located around the rock outcrops; however some are located on the raised areas of moorland inbetween. Potentially these may represent an extended chronology of these features, located in one area. Construction varies from well built robust sub rectangular structures through to sub oval single stone alignments. Extensive vistas to the west and south are afforded from this location.
