A farmstead comprising two unroofed buildings, one of which is annotated as a Ruin and has an attached two compartment enclosure, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Island of Lewis 1854, sheet 23). What may be two unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:1000 map (1974).

Blackhouse
this blackhouse is of stone construction and measures 15m west- east and 8m north - south. No internal divisions can be seen within the structure, but two D-shaped enclosures can be seen on the exterior of the building. The first is situated at the east en dof the north wall and measures 10m east - west and 3m north - south. The second is situated at the west end of the south wall and measures 5m west - east and 4m notrth - south. An entrance leasds from each of these enclosures into the interior of the main structure.
