What may be an unroofed shieling-hut, which is annotated as a Ruin, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Island of Lewis 1854, sheet 23) and on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).

stone structure
This structure appears as two pieces of oval walling 4m and 2m in length and 1.5m apart. It is situated on the craggy outcrop of Cnoc Mairstean 100m from Loch Bharabhat, with extensive views from north to southwest.
