What may be a single unroofed shieling-hut is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1854, sheet 17), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).

Situated on east facing slope above the eastern sea cliffs of the Aird Uig peninsula is this rectangular shieling. Orientated southwest - northeast, the structure measures 3m by 2m and has an entrance at the west end of the south wall. Constructed of 0.4m drystone walling there is an aumbry at the east end of the south wall.
