A farmstead comprising three unroofed buildings, two of which are annotated as Ruins, and two enclosures, and a head-dyke are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Island of Lewis 1854, sheet 23). One roofed, one unroofed building and three enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).

This recent blackhouse measures 8.0 x 5.0 metres and shows evidence of being situated on the site of an earlier undefined structure.

Blackhouse
This recent blackhouse measures 14.0 x 7.0 metres and stands up to 1.5 metres in height. Constructed of a double faced earth core wall the roof has been removed and the walls are starting to collapse.
