Four drystone breakwaters were noted (five are recorded in the NMRS, but the fifth was not seen on this visit), unevenly spaced around a small bay to the north of the dyke (smr 15027). Theses were of loose boulder construction and extended out into Lon Erista for up to 5m, being between 0.5-0.6m in width. The best preserved was that nearest the dyke, 10m to the north east of the latter.
