Post mediaeval (council) cemetery, with variety of burials including vaults. Burgess & Church 1997, 373-376

There is no sign of this burial ground on the 'Plan of the harbour bay and town of Stornoway' belonging to H.Mackenzie Esq. Seaforth (1785). Its first appearance is in John Woods 'Plan of the Town and Harbour of Stornaway, Island of Lewis' (1821).
Geophysical survey carried out indicated possible earlier boundary associated with this burial ground, several possible graves, drainage (lazy beds) and probable later features.
