'The largest development proposal concerns the site occupied by the Maritime buildings,the ferry marshalling area,Amity House,the Old Sail Loft/Commercial Hotel and Fishermans Co-oprative Cold Store.This has been earmarked for an arts centre and preformance space,maritime museum and public library,together with ancillary commercial andresidential developments.Infilling between piers Nos 1 and 2 to provide additional parkinghas also been proposed.'(E.Dennison and R.Coleman,1997,43)

(Location cited as NB 422 328). Warehouse, built c. 1780. A handsome three-storey, 7-bay building, harled, with circular windows in the top floor. Probably built as a fish and gear store.
