Full Description

Stone footings of a rectangular building 3m by 6m, aligned north to south, situated on a knoll overlooking Stornoway Harbour. the building is situated on a well-defined raised platform and is outlined by a low turf-covered stone wall 0.7m wide and up to 0.3m high to the north, and the edge of the platform to the west and south. The east wall is less clear but was defined by stony ground along the east side of the structure. The structure is situated on the west end of the platform which continues for a further 5 to 10 m to the east. This area was covered in dense shrub and trees and it was therefore difficult to identify any further structures.

Condition: The structure is well defined on three sides. The area to the east of the structure is covered in trees and shrub and may contain additional features.
