Full Description

kiln banr and enclosure. Kiln barn, rectilinear with rounded angles, oriented N-S, measuring 8m by 6m external over double-faced boulder walls 0.8m wide by up to 1.3m high; entrance 0.6m wide lies towards S end of E wall; kiln occupies northern interior, and has indications of rebuilding; in SW corner of interior a length of wall ?m wide and 0.5m high encloses a spread of rubble - it appears to be a secondary feature, although similar, less well-preserved remains were located in this position in other kiln-barns. Enclosure, sub-circular, c. 12m x 10m within bank c.1m wide by up to 0.8m high, apparently concealing a boulder alighment; bank terminates at either end c. 0.2m from the NW and NE corners of the kiln-barn, presumably to allow access; featureless interior.
