Full Description

SU 12:
Orientated from north-west to south-east, the fragmentary remains of this structure measure 9.3 x 5.3 metres. Surviving as a few stones in the basal course of the inner and outer wall faces of a stone and earth core walled building it is impossible to define entrances or any internal features.
Interpretation: This house, located on a knoll between SU 5 and SU 18 represents the fragmentary remains of an earlier phase of blackhouses in the area. Its walls have largely been dismantled to provide stone for the construction for one of the other houses in the immediate vicinity. This house forms part of Baile A.
