Full Description

SU 16:
This sub-rectangular turf built stone lined structure is orientated from south south-west to north north-east and measures 4.5 x 3.2 metres. There is a single entrance towards the north north-east end of the north facing wall.
Interpretation: This small ancillary structure forms part of Baile A/B and probably represents the remains of a barn or storage building constructed of turfs with a stone lining. It might be expected to find one or more such structures with every blackhouse for the purpose of storing winter fodder.
