Full Description

SU 34:
Constructed of turf and stone orthostats this dyke runs from north north-east to south south-west for 11.6 metres linking a bedrock cliff face at NF 78741 15150 to a burn (running from east to west) at NF 78736 15131.
Interpretation: This dyke forms the western edge of a small enclosure that uses bedrock to form its northern extent and a burn to form its southern extent. Dyke SU 34 marks the eastern side of this enclosure. Its purpose is not clear and could include stock management, cultivation or use as a stack/ kale yard for Baile B.
