Full Description

SU 59:
Two un-enclosed platforms are located on south-east facing slopes immediately to the south-east of the Souterrain SU 58. They are arranged to north and south of each other and both measure ca 5 metres in diameter. Neither show any signs of structures located within their extents.
Interpretation: Hut platforms are rarely recorded anywhere in the Outer Hebrides, however, several examples excavated on Lewis have shown that structures may have been located on such features. These structures remain un-dated.
