Full Description

SU 65:
Orientated from south-east to north-west, this house is constructed of stone wall faces with earthen cores and measures 13 x 6 metres. It has one clearly visible entrance at the south-eastern end of the south-west wall, with a possible, blocked, opposing entrance opposite in the north-east wall. A third possible entrance can be seen at the north-west end of the north-east wall.
Interpretation: This house has undergone extensive modification at the time that the drying barn SU 64 was constructed onto the north-eastern wall of the structure. This lead to the opposing (north-eastern) entrance being blocked and possibly the northern entrance in the north-eastern wall being forced open. This entrance was also later blocked.
Impact Detail: This structure falls within 20 metres of the northern edge of the proposed haul road.
