Full Description

SU 97:
(No description in the Draft report!)
Interpretation: This slight wall seems to complete the enclosure against the sea, started by dyke SU 108, of blackhouse SU 101. The line shows signs of also having latterly a metal post and wire fence along its length as a number of bases of posts, and holes for mounting such posts were recorded.
Impact Detail: Given the possibility that this feature encloses a potentially high status house or early church some consideration should be given to the amenity impact up the general grouping by the haul road and stone extraction site.
