Full Description

SU 124:
Orientated from west north-west to east south-east the fragmentary remains of this blackhouse measure 13.9 x 6.4 metres. The walls of this house survive as low turf banks, up to 0.5 metres wide and 0.2 metres high. The north-west corner of the house has been removed by peat cutting and no entrances can be identified around any of the remaining walls.
Interpretation: This house may mark the site of an early turf blackhouse that never had any stone wall faces, however, it might be the case that the wall faces have been removed to provide building materials for a later house. This building forms part of Baile K.
