Full Description

SU 145:
Orientated from north north-west to south south-east this barn measures 7.2 x 5.2 metres. It has opposing entrances in the centre of its eastern and western walls and internally has a small platform in its north-western corner. This platform has a small kiln or oven mounted into it measuring less than 0.5 metres in diameter.
Interpretation: The oven located in the north-western corner of this ancillary structure is possibly too small to act as a drying kiln suggesting that its use may be for firing ceramics, metal work or heating an illicit still.
