Full Description

SU 196:
This bolder dyke is situated beneath the high water mark on the south shore of Rubha na Moine and crosses the mouth of a small inlet running from NF 78073 13937 in the west to NF 78080 13940 in the east, a distance of 8.3 metres.
Interpretation: This feature either marks a fragment of an early prehistoric field system, now submerged in the inter-tidal zone as sea level rises, of it marks the remains of a fish trap or lobster wall. If it is the site of marine industry its date could be from any period from the late prehistoric to the crofting period.
