Full Description

SU 197:
Running from north to south for 8 metres between NF 78055 13928 and NF 78057 13920 this bolder dyke links two bedrock outcrops below the high water line near the south shore of Rubha na Moine.
Interpretation: This feature either marks a fragment of an early prehistoric field system, now submerged in the inter-tidal zone as sea level rises, or it marks the remains of a fishtrap or lobster wall. If it is the site of marine industry its date could be from any period from the late prehistoric to the crofting period.
