Full Description

E 213:
Covering an area of 98 square metres these feannagan run from north to south for 8.2 metres over a distance of 12.5 metres. Situated on a flat sandy ground on the eastern side of Rubha Ban it is impossible to say on the basis of form what period these rigs date to.
Interpretation: Due to the nature of the sandy soil late and early rigs are thought likely to take on a very similar form. However as much of this part of Rubha Ban is cultivated with late rigging to the west, E 214, and as the whole of this general area is encrofted, it is likely that these feannagan are late in date.
Impact Detail: This area of feannagan falls directly in the line of the proposed causeway approach road.
