(Babtie Group, 1999)

E 284:
This small house measures 5.7 x 3.8 metres, its walls are just 20 - 70 cm high and mostly collapsed/ robbed, and partly covered with turf. A probable doorway is visible on the north-western wall. The house is situated on a plateau overlooking the part of the coastline and the lower lands. The vegetation around the house is short and long grass.
Interpretation: This house is very small and probably was rather used as a barn, but there is no blackhouse visible in the immediate vicinity to which it could have belonged! Its bad condition suggests an early date, probably Medieval.
