Full Description

E 294:
This structure consists of relatively small stones, aligned for 11 metres with a possible extention. The row is running east south-east and mostly covered with turf and long grass grows between the stones - they are quite spaced apart (20 - 40 cm).
Interpretation: This could be the site of a stone alignment. The date could be anything between Late Prehistoric and Medieval. However it could also be interpreted as the robbed remains of a medieval dyke. In that case it could be part of a march dyke which divides the townships Balla and Coilleag, but the surviving rest is of course not enough to be sure.
