Full Description

E 298:
This house or barn is situated just beside the modern road from Balla to Coilleag. It is built on a very faint slope. The walls are 40 - 70 cm heigh and mostly covered with turf. The building measures 5 x 6 metres. On its north-western side is an entrance in the centre of the wall.
Interpretation: This house is quite small, so it could easily be interpreted as a barn or storage room. The dyke or part of an enclosure (EF 29 and E 299) which is situated to the east of the house, is probably contemporary.
