Full Description

E 348:
This enclosure measures 16 x 11 metres, its walls are completely covered with turf and grass, no stones are visible. This structure is located 25 metres to the south of E 347 and 30 metres to the east of E 345.
Interpretation: This enclosure probably belongs to one of the houses nearby: E 345 or E 346. As well as E 347, the enclosure was possibly an ancillary structure for the blackhouses. As no stones could be seen at the base of the 'wall' of the enclosure, it could be made entirely of turf. This would suggest an early (Medieval) date. However, the strucuture could well have been later re-used.
