Full Description

E 354:
This sturcture is situated in a small valley with a narrow stream at its centre. On both sides of the stream stone rows (approximately 3 metres apart with the stream between them) are visible. They run in a north north-easterly direction and are mostly covered with turf, but at some places the stones stand free and quite spaced apart. The westerly row bends round to the west, after running 18 metres in a north-westerly direction, and meets a stone outcrop.
Interpretation: These rows of stones could date back to prehistoric times, as well they could have been constructed in Medieval times or later. The purpose is unknown, they could be part of a larger enclosure or could mark a border of any kind. A more detailed survey of this boggy area would probably help to answer the question of purpose and extention.
