Full Description

E 369:
This unusual large house (15 x 8 metres) is situated on a platform in a small valley quite near to the coast. It is orientated from north to south and the walls stand just 50 - 60 cm high and are completely covered with turf and plants/ short grass. Just on the north-eastern corner some stones are still visible. A doorway is located in the northern half of the eastern long wall and a uncertain internal wall divides the room in two halfs.
Interpretation: The size of this house is extremely large, but it could still be a blackhouse. The possible internal division might hint to Post Medieval times, but the location of the doorway off the centre of the long wall, supports a Medieval date. This house is an especially good example for cropmarks.
