Full Description

E 378:
This blackhouse measures 11.5 x 7.5 metres. The walls stand up to 1.2 metres high, but are partly collapsed and covered with turf. They measure 80 - 90 cm in thickness. This house is orientated roughly from north to south. A doorway cannot clearly be located but is possibly in the centre of the eastern long wall. This building is situated on the same platform as house E 377.
Interpretation: This blackhouse probably dates to Post Medieval times, because of its quite big size and the possible doorway in the centre of a long wall. The house is most likely associated with house E 377 (barn), just 9 metres to the south.
