Full Description

E 394:
This wall is running from east to west for 45 metres before curving round to run in a northerly (inlands) direction for a further 17 metres. It then terminates by meeting a natural stone outcrop. The wall does not stand very high, just 60 - 70 cm and is mostly covered with turf. The surrounding vegetation is long grass.
Interpretation: This wall keeps the soil from sliding down the slope. It was most likely build to create a terrace probably to use as a garden/ to grow vegetables, although no signs of cultivation could be seen inside the enclosed area. This terrace field is probably also contemporary with the houses E 391 and 392 and was used by the inhabitants.
