Full Description

E 406:
This house is situated on a platform below the house E 405, which lies 8 metres to the west. The house measures 3.5 x 3.5 metres and has the same orientations as house E 405. The wall stand very low (60 cm high), are collapsed and mostly turfed over. No entrance is visible. An arrow made of large stones has recently been laid out inside the house. This arrow points towards the wooden cross, erected in house E 405.
Interpretation: This house was probably built in Medieval or early Post Medieval times, the size suggests, that it was used as a storage building, probably for house E 405, which in this case would be a blackhouse. The recently added arrow of large stones was probably made of stones provided by house E 405 or E 406.
