Full Description

E 410:
This cultivation complex consists of two fields. One field is 20 metres long and 15 metres wide, the feannagan are running in a north-easterly direction across a slope. The other field, situated adjacent to the first field, measures 25 x 30 metres. The feannagan are running in a north-westerly direction for 25 metres downslope. The feannagan of both fields are quite broad. The surrounding vegetation is short grass. The house E404 is situated 20 metres to the east, along with houses E 405 and E 406.
Interpretation: This area of feannagan probably dates to Post Medieval or even to Crofting times, because the feannagan are cut broader than most of the other, Medieval, feannagan. This supports the thought, that this cultivation area was used by the inhabitants of house E 404, which was built in late Post Medieval or Crofting times.
