Full Description

3: cairn. Lower layers of cairn, visible as a mound with scattered stones. Grassed over in many places. On a ridge of slightly higher ground, associated with site 2 (SMR 8392).
Badcock & Webster 1995

NB Anna Badcock suggests that this may be one of the two burial cairns surveyed in by the OS on this headland (i.e. SMR 1262 or 1263), but as this would involve a substantial survey error by the OS, and there are cairns to the north of this one, it is entered as a seperate monument. MML 28.8.2000
