Full Description

A spread of structural remains of uncertain form and date is visible on the grassed summit of a knoll, over an area of 20m by 10m. The ground plan of the structural remains forming the focus of the sight cannot be defined with any confidence: either a series of small sub-square cells or two parallel, but offset, two-chambered rectilinear structures appear to be present. A series of three chambers are visible, each measuring approximately 2m by 2m internally. The westernmost is most clear, measuring 4m across externally and bounded by a double-faced boulder wall with a turf or earth core. Other indications of buried walls are evident to the west of these structures. The structures are of a different form, and thus most probably earlier than, the spread of settlement running along the ridge to the S.
