Full Description

A 6m length of collapsed drystone walling was viewed in the base of a peat cutting a short distance E of the road to Callernish. The fact that this feature must have been substantially buried prior to peat-cutting, and would not have been visible at ground level, suggests that it may be of considerable antiquity. In the E face of the same peat cutting several flattish stones were visible at the base of the exposed profile. They may represent an archaeological feature.
