SY88 (NL63449208) Complex of blackhouse and shelter.
Location: Plateau on lower hill slope.
Description: Subrectangular single cell unimproved blackhouse with shelter built later inside south-western corner.

SY88a (NL63449208) Blackhouse.
Location: As above.
Description: Subrectangular single cell, 4.5 x 3 m, unimproved blackhouse with stone-faced walls of earth and stone 0.7 m thick. The structure appears to have been subject to some deconstruction and a small shelter (B) may have been built in one corner, but this has collapsed into an amorphous pile of stones. There may be opposing entrances, but only one is visible to the south, the other being covered with displaced rubble.

Description: Shapeless conglomeration of collapsed stonework, 1 x 1 m, may be shelter built inside south-west corner of blackhouse.
