Full Description

SY150 (NL63249175) Roundhouse.
Location: Valley floor.
Description: Circular, 7 m diam., ring-wall of collapsed stonework on a mounded flat platform. To be confident that the identification of the stucture described here is accurate much more work is required. The 7 m diam. allows for this to be identified as either an Iron Age or a pre-Iron Age building. The location of the site in the intensively used modern landscape of the valley south from the Sheader settlement means that it may have been subjected to intensive stone robbing.
