Full Description
S41 (NL700997) A large grassed-over mound of stone blocks, 17.5 x 12.6 m overall. It appears to be a mulit-period monument, with several small oval and subrectangular hut-like structures built into and from the rubble of a lower building. This appears to have been a circular building of about 12-13 m diam. We interpret this lower structure as most probably a free-standing Iron Age wheelhouse, or possibly a large circular house without radial partitions.
