Full Description

S49 (NL677984) Two adjacent stone and earth structures. The larger is 13.6 x 7.6 m overall, with a 0.8 m door slightly off centre in the east wall. A secondary pen/shelter is built into one corner. On the same alignment, immediately alongside, the second building is 8 x 7.4 m, with a door in the south-west corner. The complex sits at the confluence of four linear boundaries. There appears to be an earlier rectangular structure 6.2 x 4.4 m partly overlain by the north-west corner of the larger building. Blackhouse and byre.
