Full Description

MY37 (NL 5656 8199) Shieling complex.
Location: Bottom slope to coastal plain.
Description: Oval single-cell shelter (a) with single-stone thick walls standing up to five courses high. Entrance is to the east. A small storehouse is attached at the back. Set on a platform (c) with attached walls extending from the east and west to form an enclosure (b) of the builidngs and partially the platform. Curved stone settings around the outer southern edge appear to have no functional relationship and may be part of an earlier underlying monument. There is almost 2 m of mounded elevation, which also suggests a hidden site below.
