Full Description

BY20: Chamber tomb. Mid northern hill-slope on prominent knoll out from prominent break in the hill-slope. BY20 is located inside the settlement area high on its southern edge. The tomb appears to have been used as a point of reference when the head dyke (wall BY21) was first laid out, as it incorporates the south side of the monument in its course from east to west. The actual junction is not clear and requires careful excavation to truly determine the sequence of events. From the settlement area lower down to the north the monument stands prominent on the skyline even though most of its stonework appears to have been robbed away, possibly in the construction of wall BY21. One large upright remains on the eastern side, but most of the rest are well-embedded stones of some lower part of the structure. Subrectangular, 3 x 1.5m, embedded side stones and single orthostats only survive stone robbing.
Branigan & Foster 2000, 134

nb Foster must be misidentifying BY21, as its description and location apply not to the head dyke, but to an enclosure some distance to the south. Ignore the number in the above discussion of BY20
