Full Description
The )S 6" survey of 1848 records those houses later cleared in 1852 but does not record the previous village which existed prior to that date with the one exception of the blackhouse at NB 23347 31789.
Remains of blackhouse converted to stockfold.

An unroofed structure, annotated as a 'sheepfold' is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire, Sheet 25, 1853) and the OS 1:10,000 map sheet (although the 1:10,000 edition shows the structure to be divided in two by a central cross-wall.)
