Full Description

C9 (NF674030) Prominent grassed mound, 17.2 x 13.5 m, 2 m high, with complex and damaged, heavily embedded stone structure on the summit, 11 x 7.6 m. It appears to comprise at least three rooms or cells, but they may not all be contemporary. On the south side, a shell midden is exposed underlying the wall foundation. Shieling huts overlying earlier prehistoric? Site.
