Full Description
G75 (NF680035) Complex of structures on rocky shelf surrounding site G74. East of G74 are two adjoining buildings, 8.9 x 5.7 m and 5.6 x 5.9 m, the larger with a door to the north and the smaller with a door to the south. Blackhouse and byre. West of G74 are two further adjoining structures, 9.2 x 5.2 m and 4.7 x 4 m. The larger building may have an internal partition, and the smaller a raised platform at one end. No doors are visible. Blackhouse and drying shed. A fifth building, 5.3 m square, is immediately south of G74. This is very embedded and robbed, and could be contemporary with G74; it certainly appears earlier than the other buildings of G75. To the west of the site a pen or possibly a raised garden platform is built against a rock outcrop, and a much smaller platform, 8 x 7 m, is located to the east on a south-facing slope.
