Full Description
"This turf dyke, reinforced with stone, runs for 150 metres in an easterly direction across the lower slopes of Cnoc nan Uan. Forming part of the larger stock management system in the area it is typical of other dykes constructed of stone located at NB 28349 18830. This wall is likely to be a continuation of monument 1.3." Part of: "Stock grazing management field system; probably relating to pre-crofting or early crofting period summer grazing, consisting of a series of turf walls with some stone reinforcements around gateways and where the walls run across areas of bedrock." (Burgess 2004, 17 and 19)
