Full Description
"Running east from Garadh an Tighearna for 330 metres this turf dyke is broken only by a small lochan 70 metres from its east end which measures 20 metres in diameter. The dyke terminates against the east shore of an unnamed tributary of Abhiann Chleiteir running from north to south between the Abhainn Chleiteir (to the east) and Loch Oigheabhat (to the west). Where the dyke meets the burn it turns to the south and runs along its eastern shore for 15 metres as a stone and turf construction." Part of: "Stock grazing management field system; probably relating to pre-crofting or early crofting period summer grazing, consisting of a series of turf walls with some stone reinforcements around gateways and where the walls run across areas of bedrock." (Burgess 2004, 26 and 17)
