Full Description

"The remains of this cairn are located on the slopes above the south-western shore of Eilean Chalium Cille. Measuring 2.5 metres in diameter it has a visible kerb surrounding a low mound that is crested at its centre by a tall stone and turf feature measuring up to 1 metre in height. This upstanding feature is likely to be a navigation cairn placed on top of an earlier (prehistoric) cairn. The overall feature is of a size and form similar to others seen to the east along the southern shores of Eilean Chalium Cille (2.2 and 2.3) that are likely to form the fragmentary remains of a ritual landscape dating to the Neolithic and Bronze Ages (2)." (Burgess 2004, 71)
