Full Description

"Situated on the west shore of a small bay on the south-west side of Eilean Chalium Cille the remains of this rectangular stone and turf enclosure measure 10 metres from west to east and 4 metres from north to south. This feature is open onto the shore at its west end and appears to have been truncated by marine erosion. At the time of survey bracken growth was too high to allow a more detailed assessment of the feature. It is possible, however, given the size and form of the remains, that they represent a blackhouse or structure used in marine industry such as a salting or smoke house." (Burgess 2004, 74)
