Full Description

"Situated in the intertidal zone in the bay at the south-western corner of Cromore harbour, the remains of this large Clyde boiler measure 3 metres in length and 2 metres in diameter. Now lying on its side, this boiler and steam injector would originally have stood upright and have been used to power a small Clyde Puffer, or similar sized vessel either for trade, transport or fishing." (Burgess 2004, 108)
