Full Description
"Constructed in a sheltered valley on the eastern side of Meall na Nonach the remains of this structure measure 2.5 metres from north to south and 2 metres from west to east. Consisting of substantial stone and turf walls on the east and south sides the north face of this enclosure is formed by a large slab of natural bedrock and the western side is open, though this may be due to the robbing of stones from the wall on that side. The purpose of this well built structure is uncertain. The location and size of the feature suggest that it might be a sheiling, the substantial nature of the walls and the secluded nature of its position suggest it may have been a site for an illicit still, and of course the two uses are not mutually exclusive so both activities may have occurred on the one site."
