Full Description

"Situated on southerly and easterly facing slopes above the northern shore of Loch nam Bodach the remains of this extensive field system include numerous episodes of clearance (both linear and cairns) and feannagan cultivation. This field system is bounded on its east side by dyke (42.2) and covers ground that under ordinary circumstances might go uncultivated, suggesting a period of both population growth and food shortages in the pre-crofting, early crofting period." (Burgess 2004, 121)
